limping along

Chapter 17 was difficult to write - squeeze squeeze and too short for me.

I am almost at 40,000 words and contemplating how big this novel should be. I am tentatively shooting for 65,000 hoping that will be a satisfying length for my readers.

I sort of know the pivotal climax scene.
I know the next chapter in part.
I should have about 10 chapters left to reach my length.
I think I have more outlining to do.

BAH!

I did buy batting for the Newman quilt today - it was half off - BONUS for me!
